Finding a good professional in Cyprus is mostly word of mouth. This is the list I share when friends ask “who do you use for X?”. People I trust, who do good work, and who treat customers like humans.

Everything here is from personal experience or strong local recommendations. No paid placements, no sponsored entries. If something stops being good, it comes off.

Legal help you can call

โš–๏ธLawyers

  • Moudouros Legal Firm Paphos Go-to firm

Established Paphos firm with a broad practice across property, business and personal matters. The kind of place you go when you want clear answers rather than a long paper trail. Responsive, practical, and used to working with both Cypriot and international clients.

  • Paraschou Law Nicosia Boutique premium

Boutique premium legal firm in Nicosia. Small team, high touch, and the kind of practice you bring in for matters that genuinely need careful thinking rather than a templated response. Best suited to founders, executives, and clients whose situations do not fit a standard form.

We will match you with the right one

๐Ÿ“ŠAccountants

  • No one accountant fits all Introduction service

Accountancy in Cyprus is too varied for a single recommendation. A freelancer with one invoice a month, a property holding company, and an international business with payroll and VAT obligations all need different people. Rather than list a single firm and hope it fits, we keep a small circle of accountants we trust across different specialties.

Tell us what you are working with: type of company, size, where you are based, what you actually need help with. We will have a quick chat and introduce you to the right one.

Car, home, health, business

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธInsurance Agents

  • Christos Theofanous Paphos

Independent insurance consultant in Paphos with over twelve years in the market. Covers motor, home, health, life and business across multiple carriers, so the recommendation is based on what fits the client rather than what a single insurer happens to sell. Round the clock support when something actually goes wrong, which is the moment you find out whether an insurance relationship is worth anything.

Haircut & shave

โœ‚๏ธBarbers

  • Golden Cuts Paphos Reader perk

Modern barber shop in Paphos, equally at home with a clean fade or a classic scissor cut. The chairs are usually full but the waits are reasonable, the music does not dominate the room, and the team takes the time to listen before they pick up the clippers. Walk in for the basics, book ahead on Saturdays. Mention Nikolas and your first haircut is on the house as a trial.

Manicure & pedicure

๐Ÿ’…Nails

  • Tanya Koleva Nails Paphos

Studio nail technician working out of a private space in Paphos, with the kind of meticulous attention that has clients booking weeks ahead. Strong on gel finishes and intricate nail art, hygiene standards in line with the better European salons, and a portfolio worth scrolling through on Instagram before you book.

Hair, skin, massage

๐ŸงดBeauty & Spa

Hair

  • Lux Hair Mobile ยท Paphos area Comes to you

Mobile hairdresser who comes to your home, with Joe behind the chair. The right call for anyone short on time, with small kids in the house, or hosting an event where you would rather not lose half a day to a salon trip. Bookings via WhatsApp.

Spa

  • Minthis Spa Tsada

Set inside the Minthis Resort, twenty minutes inland from Paphos. Calm, well kept, and the kind of place you arrive at slightly stressed and leave properly reset. Strong on massage and facial treatments, with a sauna, steam room and indoor pool included on the day pass.

  • Cleopatra Spa Cap St Georges Resort, Peyia

The signature spa inside Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort, on the cliffs above Peyia. Generous treatment menu, a serious thermal area, and views that do half the work before the therapist even starts. Best paired with a long afternoon and no plans afterwards.

  • Casale Panayiotis Spa Kalopanagiotis

Mountain spa built around the sulphur springs of Kalopanagiotis. Treatments lean into the local water and herbs, the setting is stone built and quiet, and the whole experience pairs naturally with a meal in the village. Worth the drive, ideally as part of a longer Troodos day.

Stays we send people to

๐ŸจHotels

  • Casale Panayiotis Kalopanagiotis

Restored stone village stretched across the hillside of Kalopanagiotis, with rooms scattered through the old houses and a working spa fed by the local sulphur springs. Slow paced, beautifully kept, and the kind of stay that does more for you than any city hotel ever will. Easy to combine with the Troodos villages.

  • The Agora Hotel Pano Lefkara

Boutique stay in the lace and silver village of Pano Lefkara, set in restored traditional buildings around a quiet courtyard. Calm rooms, considered details, and a strong base for exploring the inland villages between Larnaca and Limassol.

  • Pendeli Resort Pano Platres, Troodos

Reimagined mountain landmark in Pano Platres, deep in the Troodos. Heritage building reworked into a calm four star resort, with a spa, pool, several restaurants, and walking and wine routes through the surrounding valleys. The natural pick when you want cool evenings, pine forest air, and a proper change of pace from the coast.

Where the locals shop

๐Ÿ›๏ธShopping

  • Kings Avenue Mall Paphos

The biggest shopping centre in town and the default for a rainy afternoon. Mix of international high street names, a few local stores, a decent food court and a cinema upstairs. Plenty of free parking and easy to combine with a quick errand run.

  • Paphos Mall Paphos

Smaller and quieter than Kings Avenue, which is occasionally the whole point. A handful of mainstream shops, a supermarket anchor, and the kind of low key food spots that work well for a midweek lunch. Useful when you just need to grab something without making an outing of it.

Weekly shop

๐Ÿ›’Supermarkets

  • Sklavenitis Paphos

Greek supermarket chain with a substantial Paphos store. Strongest on Greek and Cypriot grocery staples, fresh produce, a proper butcher counter, and imported items that the smaller stores tend to skip. The layout takes a couple of visits to learn, after which it becomes the fastest weekly shop in town.

  • AlphaMega Paphos

Cypriot hypermarket and the default weekly shop for many Paphos households. Wide aisles, a full butcher and fish counter, a working deli, and a wine and spirits section with more variety than the competition. Online ordering and home delivery are reliable when the schedule does not allow for the trip in person.

Fresh produce

๐Ÿ‰Fruit Markets

  • Shielis Peyia

Family run fruit and vegetable market on the way through Peyia. Seasonal Cypriot produce at the kind of prices the supermarkets cannot match, a steady stream of regulars in the early mornings, and the sort of personal recommendation that helps when you are still learning what is in peak season.

  • Garden of Eden Paphos

Long standing fruit market in Paphos, well stocked across the Cypriot growing seasons with a side line in herbs, dried fruit and nuts. Quality is consistently good rather than spectacular, prices are honest, and the staff are useful for anyone still building a sense of what to buy in Cyprus.

Buy, sell, rent

๐Ÿ Real Estate

  • Demos Polemitis Paphos

Established Paphos estate agency with a strong portfolio across the city and the western coast, from village houses through to coastal apartments. Practical with both Cypriot and international buyers, transparent about the process, and reachable for the property management work that often follows a purchase. A sensible first call when starting from a blank page on the island.

Coworking and employer of record

๐Ÿ’ผWork

Coworking

  • Lumio Space Paphos

Coworking space with flexible day passes and monthly memberships for the desk, a bookable meeting room for client calls and team sessions, and a dedicated podcast room with the gear already set up for anyone recording on the island. They also run a virtual address service for businesses that need a proper Cyprus address without taking a full office. Works equally well for a solo founder, a small remote team running hybrid, or someone here for a few weeks and needing somewhere proper to sit.

Employer of Record

  • EOR Cyprus Hire without an entity

Employer of record service for foreign companies who want to hire someone in Cyprus without setting up their own local entity. They handle the employment contract, payroll, social insurance and tax filings on your behalf, so the hire is legally on the island from day one and the company stays out of the registration and compliance work. The right route when a full Cyprus company is more than you need, or when you want to test a hire before committing to incorporation.

Doctors, dentists, physio

๐ŸฅHealth & Wellness

GP & Clinics

  • Dr. Mala Chloraka

General practice in Chloraka, a short drive north of central Paphos. Easy to book, runs to time, and the consultations are thorough enough that the next steps are clear by the time you leave the room. Bilingual practice, comfortable with GHS patients and private visits alike.

Physiotherapy

  • MC Physiotherapy Peyia

Friendly neighbourhood physio clinic in Peyia. Strong on rehab and recovery work, with the kind of careful, methodical sessions that actually move the needle rather than just feeling nice for an hour. Easy to reach from Coral Bay and the western villages.

  • Nikos Herodotou Paphos

Trusted local physiotherapist. Good for sports injuries, post surgical rehab, and the kind of nagging back and shoulder issues that desk life eventually catches up with you. Hands on approach, patient with explanations, and the room runs to time. English and Greek spoken.

Dentists & Orthodontics

  • Farfaras Dentists Paphos

Established Paphos dental practice covering the routine work (cleanings, fillings, crowns) through to implants and the more involved restorations. Calm chairside manner, modern equipment, and visits that tend to run on time. Comfortable in both Greek and English.

  • Argyrou Dentist Paphos

Long established dental practice in Paphos with a steady local client base. Strong on general dentistry, with the experience to handle the more involved cosmetic and restorative work when it comes up. Bilingual in Greek and English.

  • Argyrou Orthodontics Paphos

Specialist orthodontic practice in Paphos, covering fixed braces, aligners and the longer term corrective work for both children and adults. Honest about treatment timelines, careful with the case planning, and a practical choice when the dentistry crosses into structural work.

  • Confidental by Azoide Paphos Speaks Russian

Modern dental clinic in Paphos with a careful approach to both routine and cosmetic work. Notably welcoming to Russian speaking patients, which matters when fully understanding the treatment options is part of the appointment. Strong social presence with case studies worth scrolling through before booking.

Ophthalmology

  • Ophthalmology Clinic Dr. Nikolas Stavris Paphos

Specialist eye clinic in Paphos covering the full range of ophthalmology work: routine eye exams and prescriptions through to the management of glaucoma, cataracts, retinal conditions and the surgical referrals that follow. Methodical with the diagnostics, careful with the explanations, and the kind of practice that treats an eye check as more than just a sight test. Comfortable in Greek and English.

Plumber, electrician, cleaner, handyman

๐Ÿ”งHome Services

Plumbers

  • Alexandros Matsa Paphos area

Local plumber I keep on speed dial. Quick to respond, gets the job done without trying to upsell, and his pricing is fair. Good for everything from a leaking tap to a full bathroom refit, and reachable on WhatsApp for the small jobs.

Electricians

  • Power Electratek Paphos area

Reliable electricians for the kind of work where you want it done properly the first time. Domestic installations, rewires, fault finding, and the rooftop solar work that more people are now asking about. Punctual, certified, and they leave the site tidy.

Dealers, leasing, tyres

๐Ÿš—Auto Services

Dealers & Leasing

  • Pan Motors Paphos Luxury

The Paphos dealer to talk to for luxury cars, with the brands, the showroom and the after sales setup to match the segment. Strong on both new and carefully selected pre owned saloons and performance models, and the kind of inspection and handover process you would expect at this price point. The right first call when small details on the car actually matter.

  • Andys Motors Limassol Budget & leasing

Limassol dealer leaning into the practical end of car ownership: budget friendly cars and leasing, transparent terms, and short term hire options that flex around real needs. Stock turns over quickly, paperwork stays straightforward, and the after sales support is enough to bring customers back when it is time for the next car.

Tyres

  • Costless Tyres Paphos

Tyre supply and fitting in Paphos, with branded and budget options across the common size range and the alignment and balancing kit to finish the job properly. Quotes are upfront, the work is delivered within the window agreed, and the prices stay competitive against the larger chains. The default first stop when a warning light comes on.

Schools, tutors, language

๐Ÿ“šEducation

  • International School of Paphos Paphos

Long established English language private school in Paphos, covering primary through secondary on a British curriculum and with a broad international intake. Strong academic record, an established extracurricular programme, and the kind of community that absorbs new families quickly. A standard reference point for relocating households.

  • Aspire Paphos

Independent school in Paphos with an English language curriculum and a smaller, more personal setup than the larger international schools. Good for families who want closer attention to individual learning paths, with a teaching approach that leans on engagement rather than rote. Worth visiting alongside the bigger names before deciding.

  • TLC Paphos

Smaller Paphos school operating in English, with the kind of close teacher to student ratio that more crowded settings cannot match. The atmosphere is calm, the pace is patient, and the curriculum balances academic foundations with creative and outdoor work. A useful option for families looking for a less institutional feel.

  • Lumio School Paphos

Newer addition to the Paphos education scene, with a contemporary teaching philosophy and an international curriculum. The campus is modern, classes stay small, and the programme makes room for project work, languages and arts alongside the core subjects. Worth touring if a more progressive setup is on the shortlist.

Clinic, supplies, groomer

๐ŸพPet Services

Clinic

  • Paphos Vets Paphos

Well run small animal clinic for the everyday stuff: vaccinations, microchipping, dental work and the occasional surgery. Easy to book, patient with nervous owners, and they explain what is actually going on rather than just handing over a bill. English and Greek spoken.

Supplies

  • Markos Pets Chloraka

Neighbourhood pet shop in Chloraka with a strong basics range: food, treats, beds, toys, and the kind of practical accessories you only remember you need once the dog has chewed the old one. Friendly staff who actually know their stock.

  • Makarounas Pets Paphos

Long standing Paphos pet supplier with one of the wider ranges in town. Dog and cat food across most price points, aquarium and small animal supplies, plus the slightly more specialist bits you tend to have to chase elsewhere. Good first stop for anything beyond the basics.

  • 1407. Cyprus pharmacies on duty (24/7).

Getting things done

  • Most professionals speak English. Greek and English are both widely used in business and admin.

  • Cash still matters. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but small shops and home callouts often prefer cash.
  • Quotes vary widely. For anything non trivial (legal, building, car repair), get at least two quotes.

How this list works

  • No paid listings. Nobody pays to be on here.
  • Personal experience or strong local recommendations only.
  • If something stops being good, it comes off. If you have had a bad experience with anyone on this list, let me know.
